Our Equipments

In terms of equipment, Parachutisme Adrénaline, uses only the cutting edge of parachute technology. When it comes to safety we make no financial compromises. The tandem harness, our tandem rigs and even our students rigs are manufactured by United Parachute Technologies, a company with a well known reputation of being the best in the business. These harnesses and rigs are the most expensive in the industry and we, at Parachutisme Adrénaline, offer nothing else but the best. All our equipment is new (less than five years of life) and each is meticulously monitored by a computer system that handles all inspections and maintenance recommended by the manufacturer. After 50 jumps each equipment is being thoroughly inspected by an authorized experienced rigger (responsible for the maintenance of parachutes). As we’ve said before, we make no compromises when it comes to the safety of our clients.

Respect for the weight recommendations by the manufacturers

A common asked question regarding the tandem jump is “What is the maximum weight for a parachute jump?”. Well, there’s no fixed maximum weight for client. The maximum weight depends on your weight, on the weight of the instructor and the weight of equipment used. Although today's parachutes are very solid and have excellent qualities (compared with the previous generations) the fact remains that we still have safety rules to follow. As an example, the manufacturer of the tandem parachutes, stress tested the equipment and issued safety rules to follow regarding the maximum suspended weight (your weight plus the weight of the instructor plus the total weight of the equipment). In this case, for a parachute wing of 330 square feet (the most popular) the maximum suspended weight should never exceed 439 pounds. For a 360 square feet parachute wing the maximum suspended weight should never exceed 485 pounds and for a parachute wing of 400 square feet the maximum weight should never exceed 532 pounds. If you weigh 250 pounds (40 pounds is the weight of the equipment) there’s only 149 pounds left for your instructor if you jump with a parachute of 330 square feet. Some other instructors prefer to jump with smaller parachutes to maximize their own plesure or for other reasons. However, this goes against the manufacturer's recommendation and as stated before at Parachutisme Adrénaline we make no compromises when it comes to safety. We carefully choose the right instructor and right equipment depending on your weight so that you and your instructor can have the right parachute size to make it back safely to the ground. Ask questions and inform yourself about the size of your instructor parachute and manufacturer limits before jumping.

100% local business

Here at Parachutisme Adrénaline in order to have full control over the safety aspect of our operation, we have our own fleet of aircraft's. Parachutisme Adrénaline meets 100% the tough requirements of Transport Canada in order to ensure a high caliber service and outstanding standards. Since a significant portion of the cost of your jump is linked to the price of aircraft that will take you to the seven heaven, using Parachutisme Adrénaline guarantee that your investment remains 100% in Canada, encouraging the growth of local economy. Ask questions and inform yourself about what's best security regulations in terms of aircraft's and inform yourself about Canadian aircraft's. Aircraft maintenance rules

Preventive maintenance of aircraft's operated commercially in Canada is one of the toughest and safest in the world. At Parachutisme Adrénaline we are fully committed to respect the tough Canadian Aviation Regulation and each year we invest heavily in the maintenance of our aircraft's to meet the tough standards of Canadian aircraft maintenance. This means that every time you choose Parachutisme Adrénaline in addition to encouraging local economy, you also encourage the Canadian aviation industry and government authorities to enforce the highest and safest standards..

A safety management and quality assurance system

Parachutisme Adrénaline is a Canadian Airline company which means that we MUST have a program of quality assurance and safety management approved by the government (regarding the maintenance of the aircraft's and it’s operations). This allows the reporting of abnormal events to the management team who must treat the findings and implement corrective measures in addition to tracking them over time. Thus, all incidents, however minor they are, are considered in order to prevent them from recurring in the future. At Parachutisme Adrénaline we make no compromises when it comes to safety.

Two branches, 5 aircraft's

In 2007, following the company interest of growing and the increased popularity of our beautiful sport, we’ve decided to open a second branch in Trois-Rivieres in order to better serve our customers. Airport Three Rivers offers an impeccable aircraft runway and an unique and warm hospitality. At the moment, Parachutisme Adrénaline operates five aircraft for the Canadian Commercial Arial Work. The smallest of them are the two Cessna 206 (with a maximum capacity of six skydivers) which offers the freedom of a take-off at the any time even for one tandem. This helps during certain days of the week where our schedule is more relaxed. In contrast, the Cessna Grand Caravan alone can comfortably bring to altitude up to 18 skydivers at one time and gives us the opportunity to take up to 125 tandem clients plus 100 experienced skydivers during a normal day. The company owns two Cessna 206, two Piper Navajo (10 skydivers) and a Cessna Grand Caravan. The Cessna Caravan is recently the mostly used the aircraft for skydiving in Canada.

Compliance with prescribed altitudes

Some people, especially the experienced skydivers ask us why the jumps take place at an altitude of 13,000 feet above see level when it could be done at higher altitudes. The main reason is simple: we do not mess around with the security and Canadian laws prohibits climbing above 13,000 feet without an oxygen mask for each passengers aboard the aircraft. (Reference Canadian Aviation Regulations 605.31 (1)) http://www.tc.gc.ca/fra/aviationcivile/servreg/rac/partie6-605-2438.htm).  At an altitude of more than 13,000 feet above see level, even for a relatively short period of time, a person without an external oxygen supply mask risks hypoxia (lack of oxygen in the blood). Please do not neglect or minimize the effects of hypoxia on the human body because this constitutes a potential hazard. The main danger of hypoxia is that the subject has absolutely no awareness of the loss of his ability and brain function and it might perform a risky skydive in this condition without realizing it. Keep in mind that the effect of hypoxia is cumulative and this highly affects the pilot of the aircraft. Watch your altitude before making a jump to ensure you keep all your faculties.

Can we do high altitude jumps?

Yeah Baby! Parachutisme Adrénaline is equipped with an oxygen system and certified masks for each person on board that we use it at special events (high altitude jumps). These jumps are organized occasionally with the necessary training for pilots and skydivers..

 Tests for drugs and alcohol

Here, at Parachutisme Adrénaline, all aircraft pilots and the PFF and tandems instructors are randomly tested for drugs and / or alcohol usage to help us achieve our security requirements. Note: The adrenaline in the blood after the parachute is not considered a drug when consumed within the perimeter of our school.
